As one for whom cringing in revulsion at the Kennedy Center’s proposed new honorees has become an annual occurrence, I am of course enormously heartened to learn that President Trump will hencforth (and, with any luck, forevermore) take an active role in deciding which artists have made an impact on the rich tapestry of American life and culture through the performing arts.
I loved his suggestion that Elvis, Luciano Pavrotti, and Babe Roth be honored. That the honors are not conferred posthumously is going to make things a little tricky with The [Caucasian] King and the Bambino. Moreover, The Looch, as President Trump was thought to call the corpulent Italian tenor, was honored in 2001, and is now certifiably deceased himself.

As this is written, Las Vegas oddsmakers are pretty sure that the president will nominate Kid Rock, Ted Nugent, Ye, Scott Baio, filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl, the alleged actor James Wood, and Sylvester Stewart of Sly & The Family Stone, though many believe his intention will have been to nominate another Sly entirely, Sylvester Stallone.
Last month, Trump, who, understandably has not yet forgiven Joe Biden for winning the presidency from him in 2020, and is expected never to do so, demonstrated the maturity for which he is known by replacing all Biden-appointed Kennedy Center trustees with such shameless lickspittles as deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino. Chairman David M. Rubenstein, who was originally appointed by President George W. Bush, but foolishly allowed himself to be reappointed by Presidents Obama and Biden, also got the old heave-ho, whereupon, shockingly, the newly reconstituted board voted to ask none other than — can you guess/? — Mr. Trump to replace him.
The good news being that I and others who truly love our country will no longer have to hold our tongues while some degenerate woketard whose wealth and fame owed to the disgusting perversity that was DEI is held up to our impressionable youth as worthy of veneration. And I will take this mid-paragraph opportunity to confess my hope that such past honorees as the Grateful Dead, Mavis Staples, Dionne Warwick, and Queen Latifah will all be de-honored. And while we’re here, Jesus, can you see that the leftist lunatics and pedophiles who booed Vice President and Mrs. Jadie Vance when they attended a performance by the National Symphony Orchestra a few weeks ago are rounded up and flown to El Salvador, where no few will be found as dead as The Looch in their cells, or compelled to subsist on rodent droppings.
The Center’s Hall of Nations now proudly displays portraits of both President and Mrs. Trump (the latter being (an honorary chair of the Board of Trustees, but certainly not one on which anyone who dislikes El Salvador would sit), Vice President JD Vance and and Board of Trustees member Usha Vance. The thought of some lunatic leftist whose preference is for such degenerate, revisionist nonsense as Hamilton defacing the portraits is deeply troubling to all American patriots.
I, for one, dare to look forward to the day when the Center is renamed for Mr. Trump, as I believe all public institutions should be.
The Right has opposed the arts (collectively) for many decades. Trump is an uncultured man with no appreciation of our great heritage whatsoever. This is so sad...
