I composed thie one in Madison, Wisconsin, in 2008 to celebrate the cessation of the George W. Bush presidency. Who knew that 16 years later the Republican party would give us a president who made W look like Abraham Lincoln crossed with Mahatma Gandhi crossed with Nelson Mandela.
One of my many celebrations of militarism — there’s no international dispute a war can’t resolve at incalculable expense! Thank you for your service, Bricco (Bricco, on rhythm gutiar).

I wrote this on a 2007 train journey up to Leeds to see my dominatrix pal Lady Libertine. I was not seeing her as a client, so shut up.

Another ode to that familiar, almost unendurable, feeling of powerlessness. Many of the words came to me whle I stood outside a shop in San Sebastián, Spain, in which Mrs. Mendelsohn (she prefers the legal spelling) was shopping
