Patsy Cline was marvelous. She had that same aching quality as Connie Francis, and later Ronstadt. I did three of her songs during my brief busking career. I will admit that I never detected Gram Parsons' appeal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVYfgDQfFlY Thanks for reading, Larry.

I agree with you about classic country music. That's the only country music I have a taste for. I think it would be hard not to like Patsy Cline.

I'll happily listen to Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Emmy Lou Harris, Roger Williams, early Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn. It's more rockabilly, but I think Wanda Jackson is great.I do like Texas swing, I think Bob Wills holds up in a corny sort of way.
