This isn’t the first time I’ve been ashamed of my country. I wasn’t exactly marching around the room waving the Stars ‘n’ Stripes after Abu Ghraib. The difference being that when that ghastly story broke, Obama had become president, and I foolishly imagined he’d be a gigantic improvement over that imbecile GWB. The night his victory over John McCain, I literally danced in the street, there being little traffic on Route 9 in Beacon, New York at that time.
And now, 15 years later, I find myself thinking that we didn’t know how good we had it when GWB, Dick Cheney, and Don Rumsfeld were America’s Most Despicable. I had a similar thought yesterday when news of Gov. Palin’s failed lawsuit against the NYT arrived. I think it’s very possible that she’s as stupid as Trump, but I never got the impression she was a sociopath.
8 years Obama sat there, and what did he do in those 8 years to advance civil rights and civil liberties. Well he, on Biden's recommendation, did not have the DOJ defend Oberfefell, and he gave the insurance companies a gift called the ACA, when he could have had Single payor (Medicare for all). a one page bill versus that monstrouus gift of 600 page to AHIP

Palin is probably even less intelligent than Trump (if that's possible).
